Life in Colombia with Isabel CortesIsabel Cortes

About This Week’s Guests

Isabel Cortes was born in Colombia but grew up being the “odd-one-out” Colombian by going to a private school, working in France and Belgium.

We cover several aspects of living in Colombia, including a few words on how drugs have made a huge impact on Colombian life.

Her tips on becoming more culturally competent are:

  1. Travel as much as you can and get to know the local people as well. This is a good way to learn some of the local cultures.
  2. Read as much as you can. Try to get your information from more sources, rather than only one.
  3. Work on yourself; get more tolerant towards other cultures.

I'm passionate about Cultural Difference. I have been helping organizations save time and money when they work Internationally for the last 19 years. I have had the fortunate opportunity to hold lectures, workshops, and consulting projects on this subject World Wide.
